Hannas Maintain Growth in Mining & Resource Sector

Hannas continue to develop its business in the Mining and Resource sector following the successful completion of works for Macquarie Generation and the recent commencement at Newcrest Mining at their Cadia Valley operation.
After the recent completion of the Mobile Workshop Upgrade for Tenix and Macquarie Generation at Liddel Power Station that saw Hannas construct all civil works associated with a new maintenance workshop for the D11 Dozers on site, Hannas have now been engaged by Alstom Grid and Newcrest Mining to provide design and construction works associated with the expansion of the existing on site switchyard, including construction of a new Switchroom.
Cadia Valley Operations currently consists of three underground mines and one open cut pit. The open cut pit is expected to reach it's use by date by the end of 2011 at which time a new underground mine will open to further extend the life of the mine. The upgrade to the existing switchyard is one of many infrastructure projects that are required to be completed on site to ensure that the new underground operation can commence.
The commencement of this new project for Newcrest Mining and Alstom Grid further demonstrates Hannas commitment to expand its operations into the Mining and Resource sector and also demonstrates our commitment to developing and expanding client and partner relationships, by continually looking for ways to provide greater value and improved service.
